Jean-Emanuel Tremblay is a reformed architect, cg artist, and ceramist.
Formerly trained as an architect, he transitioned into the vfx industry. While he enjoys the precision and representation of architectural drawings, he found himself increasingly drawn to the speculative and narrative aspects of the discipline. He then knew that his true calling lay in the art of worldmaking.
In his spare time, JET has been studying the influence of technical objects on the human condition, which thus reshapes our techno-geological landscape. He is committed to understanding the evolution of tools and their associated milieus. In doing so, he has found expression in the world of pottery. Here, he trades the pixels for the tactile nature of clay particles. This medium not only expands his artistic repertoire but also provides a tangible connection to ideas and concepts he explores in his work.
At the end of the day, his creative pursuits translate into an eclectic body of work that spans buildings, objects, and fictions, inviting us to contemplate and challenge the relationship between the digital and physical.
